Position Purpose

A Dining Room Server at Merriman’s must be an experienced, passionate and dedicated guest experience ambassador. We look at the Dining Room Server position as the pinnacle of our service team. You are required to have extensive knowledge of menu, wine and fine dining steps of service. A Dining Room Server at Merriman’s must be able to consistently fulfill our goal of being the greatest guest experience company in the world by making connections and providing exceptional service every night. We are built on a foundation of local food products and extensive knowledge of the products, farms and farmers is essential. A Server is responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the restaurant's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Essential Functions - What will I be doing?

As a Food Server, you would be responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the restaurant's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

·    Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

·    Ensure extensive knowledge of food, menu and restaurant promotions and specials

·    Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system

·    Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner

·    Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service

·    Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations

·    Side work duties; upkeep of the restaurant
